Heading for Alaska. Taking the motorhome. Heard you couldn’t take knives. Is this true?

I have steak knives and butcher knives and butter knives, just your normal kitchen stuff. These things are in my motorhome. Does this mean if I’m at a campground in Canada and decide to barbeque steaks, I have to pull them apart with my hands?
Heard you couldn’t take knives across the boarder into Canada?

You can take knives. Handguns are the only thing not permitted.
