Three Days in Southern Utah: A Tiger 800 XC Road Trip

Posted: January 16th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Parks And Campgrounds | Tags: , , , , , , | 6 Comments »

Three days, five national parks/monuments and 720 miles all distilled into one 5 minute clip. I rode from Moab over the Abajo Mountains, through Glen Canyon NRA (Lake Powell), to and through Natural Bridges NM, up to Capitol Reef and west through Grand Staircase-Escalante NM to Bryce Canyon NP. From there I headed north across the Aquarius Plateau, back to Captiol Reef and then home to Moab. Dirt roads ridden: Abajo Loop Road, The Causeway, Elk Ridge Road, Notom-Bullfrog Road, Main Canyon Road and Posy Lake Road (Aquarius Plateau) and Blue Hills Road (north of Moab).

Good stuff man. I do most of my rides solo too for the same reason. Just did a 4,000 mile solo ride up the pacific coast. Ride safe man!!

@YoungAmericanOutback It was an awesome trip! Planning the next two trips now. Another one coming up in less than 2 weeks. I do all my trips solo, primarily because I don’t have anyone to ride with but also because I sort of like being on my own schedule. Thanks for the comment!
